Removing Dust

When there is too much dust accumulated within the HV/LV chambers or transformer chambers, please use compress dry air to blow these dust off. During operation, please note:

  1. To ensure safety measures are adopted. The power should be disconnected.
  2. DO NOT use wet cloth to clean the dust.
  3. Regularly inspect the conditions within the chambers and removes the dust within the chambers according to the installation environment.
  • Busbar, insulator and cable

1 Busbar and insulator

1) Each 1~3 years

2) Overhaul

Check whether there is any obvious pollution on the insulator and whether there is any damage or crackle on the porcelain. During cleaning, take out the insulator which has problem during visual inspection and then replace it with a new one if there is any crack.
Check the connection conditions between the busbars or between the busbar and component terminal. Check whether there is any loosing, overheating or poor contacting. Check whether there is any overheating or oxidization on the busbar. Fix the loosing screw and bolts. Clean the contact surface of the busbar.
Check the busbar insulation. The resistance should not be less than 1MΩ.
Busbar AC voltage-withstand test.

When Ue≤1kV, test voltage is 3.2kV.

When=15kV, test voltage is 43kV.

Rubber insulation

Power cable

1) For 3.6/6kV or above, each 3 years.

2) For 3.6/6kV or below, each 5 years.

Insulation resistance

For cables of 0.6/1kV, use 1000V megger.

For cables of above 0.6/1kV, use 2500V megger.

(For cables of 6/6kV or above, use 5000V megger.)

New terminal DC voltage-withstand test

1) For duration of 5 minutes, no breakthrough.

2) For duration of 5 minutes, the leakage current should not be larger than that during duration of 1 minute.

1) For 3.6/6kV or above, each 3 years.

2) For 3.6/6kV or below, each 5 years.

Resistance of cable oversheath and inner sheath. (the insulation resistance of 1 meter should not be less than 0.5MΩ) Use 500V megger. If the measured value is less than 0.5MΩ per meter, check the cable conditions.
