Core


The core is manufactured with high quality cold rolled grain-oriented silicon steel of high magnetic conductivity. 45° mitring and 5-steps overlapping structure is adopted for the core design, thus to greatly reduce no-load loss and no-load current.

 

To precisely calculate resonance frequency and intensity and avoid cavity resonance generated by the core structure during operation, simulation analysis is carried out for core mould design. Flexible connections are made between core and coils, core and bogie. With these measures adopted, the noise level is reduced by 10~15dB compared with the international standard.

HV winding


HV winding is manufactured with high quality copper wire, reinforced with glass fiber and being casted with epoxy resin at vacuum state with pressure, having the resin fully impregnated into the coils in the most professional imported equipment. Therefore, product's partial discharge is especially low, for example, transformer of 10kV-level has a partial discharge less than 5 pC.

 

During the HV winding design, rational structure is adopted to improve the electric distribution. With the lighting impulse wave simulation calculation and analysis being carried out with special auxiliary software, product's anti-lightning impulse capacity is greatly improved.

LV winding


LVwinding (with the rated power equal to or higher than 400kVA) is manufactured with high quality foil conductor, resulting in excellent ampere-turn balance, low transverse magnetic flux leakage and higher anti-short circuit capability. By designing reasonable air conduit in the windings to increase the heat-dispersion surface, transformer's temperature rise is effectively controlled and the overload capacity is greatly improved.

Tests before Putting into Service


.. Winding DC resistance test.
.. Check the core earthing conditions and the through-screw insulation conditions.
.. Insulation resistance test: usually the winding insulation resistance meets the following
values:Phase-earth≥100Ω,


In some high-humidity environment, the insulation resistance may be degraded. Usually,
the insulation resistance of each 1000V rated voltage should not be less than 2MΩ (at
25℃ for one minute). However, if condensation happens due to extremely damp
environment, the reactor must be dried before putting into service, no matter how
much the insulation is.

.. Externally-applied power frequency voltage-withstand test. The voltage applied
is 85% of the factory test voltage. The test duration is 1 minute.
.. Reactance measurement.
Installation and Putting into service
.. Place the product onto the installation foundation which is fixed with screw-down bolt.
There should be at least four anchoring screws on the foundation and anti-loosing
measures must be taken after the product installation.
.. Connect the earthing bolt on the base of the product with the earthing busbar.
.. Connect the outgoing cable terminal of the reactor with the capacitor busbar. The
connection should be flexible.
.. If the reactor is designed with taps, please select the proper tap and adjust the tap to
proper position.
.. If the reactor is equipped with cooling fans, connect power supply cable and control
cables.
.. Check whether the above operations are finished and whether there are any foreign
objects within the transformer. Then, put the product into service.
.. Run the product for 60-minute trial operation. Then, put the equipment into service if
the trial operation is OK.
