Dry transformer Feature:
Pearl Electric adopts advanced technology and high quality raw material, with first class equipment and strict processing, PEC-S- cast resin dry type transformer owns the following advantages:
1. Copper conductor is used both for H. V. &L. V. Coils to strengthen the glass fiber. It is dried and cast by epoxy resin under the high vacuum. After curing, it is a firm cylinder, with high mechanical strength and withstanding short-circuit capability, smaller partial discharge, higher reliability as well as long service life.
2. Flameproof, explosion resistant, no pollution to environment. Because the imported epoxy resin and glass fiber compound insulation materials are used and certain silicon powder is contained in the epoxy resin. Heat conduction co-efficient and flameproof ability is greatly improved in comparison with old type materials. There would be no toxin and harmful gas caused by resin under high temperature.
3. The moist cannot be absorbed by coils. The core clamp is coated with the special anti-corrosive materials so it can do as usual under the severe conditions. It is unnecessary to get rid of moisture for interval operation.
4.The entire finished core and clamping structure shall be sufficiently coated with class F resin to
ensure permanent low noise level and to protect against corrosion.
Clamping and Bracing
Bracing of the core and winding assembly must be adequate to prevent any movement relative
to the transformer during normal lifting, transportation and handling of the transformer.
Clamping structure shall be made of steel and shall provide sufficient clamping forces to
counter for mechanical impulsive forces that may arise during short circuit condition.
The core clamping frame shall be equipped with lifting lugs strong enough to enable the
finished transformer to be safely lifted, complete with all accessories etc. in place.
Fittings and Accessories
The transformers shall be provided with the following standard fittings and accessories:
a. A single, 3 wire, PT100 themor-sensor to IEC 60751 with temperature rating up to
minimum +250⁰C shall be provided to monitor hottest spot in each low voltage
b. Digital temperature indicator shall be provided and securely fixed for display on the
short side of the enclosure close to the LV side for easy access by TNB personnel. The
monitor shall be capable of displaying temperature up to minimum +250⁰C for each
phases. It shall also be equipped with fuses, time delay relays for supply direct from the
transformers secondary voltage. The system shall be compatible with the supply
voltage of single phase AC 220V - 240V at 50Hz.
c. Lifting lugs of sufficient numbers and mechanical strength suitably positioned shall be
provided on the transformer so that the transformer can be lifted safely.
d. Two earthing terminals on opposite long sides positioned diagonally on the bottom
steel clamp (lower press beam) shall be provided and shall be visibly indicated with
earth symbols labels.
e. Steel base channels with steel wheels.
f. Terminal lugs for HV and LV terminals as stipulated in Clause 6.9 of this specification
