1 Application Scope
This instruction manual is applicable for oil-immersed power transformer with rated power of 6300kVA or below-6300kVA and rated voltage of 35kV or below-35kV.
2.1 The transformer is delivered to customer site mainly through road or railway transportation. In these types of transportation, the transformer is transported with oil filled in the tank. All the dismantled attachments and other technical documents for customers are put into the cases or boxes and transported to customer together with the transformer.
2.2 When lifting the transformer, please use the four lifting lugs at the tanks. These lugs are designed hold the weight of the whole transformer. DO NOT use the lifting rings on the tank cover, which are used to lift the active part of the transformer. However, for hermetically sealed transformer, the lifting rings on the cover could be used for lifting the transformer. During lifting operation, the included angle of the steel rope at the hook should not be larger than 30°.
2.3 During transformer transportation, the gradient of the transformer should not be larger than 15°.
3 Features & Structure
The core is manufactured with high quality cold rolled grain-oriented silicon steel of high magnetic conductivity, and 45° Mitring and steps overlapping structure is used for core production, thus to effectively reduce no-load loss and no-load current.
HV winding is manufactured with high quality copper conductor.
LV winding is manufactured with high quality foil conductor
The transformer adopts class-A insulation. The HV and LV windings are arranged in concentric way. Between the windings are oil-clapboard insulation structure built with paper cylinder and small oil conduit.
The tank is jointed with high-quality steel.
Contact with bare copper
Bare copper in contact with transformer oil shall be minimized by using appropriate paper covering or painting.
Main terminals and Bushings
Position of open terminals
a) the high-voltage bushings shall be approximately parallel to the major axis of the transformer;
b) the intermediate-voltage bushings, or for two-winding transformers, the low-voltage bushings shall be approximately parallel to the major axis of the transformer, and symmetrical with the high- voltage bushings.
All terminal groups shall be arranged so that when viewed in the direction of power flow, the neutral terminal shall be on the left, followed by the line terminals in alphabetical order, as shown in Figure 3.
The power shall always be assumed to flow from the winding with the highest voltage rating towards all other windings.
